For Comment: Reelfoot Lake, Tiptonville

I tend to judge the success of my travels by the success of my photography. We recently took the grandsons to Reelfoot Lake on spring break. They had a ball and learned a lot, as some of you saw on my facebook post. But I also got to do a little "Monte photography" while we were there and wanted to share with my Foto Friends.

Promised Photo:

At last month's FF's meeting I promised to post a photo of mounted antique industrial bins in which I had affixed wildflower images. This assemblage is fastened to the wall that's part of my screened-in porch. Well, when I got home I realized the wildflower photos were long in the tooth and showing their age, and that I needed to redo the boxes. So, I switched the theme to birds which I have photographed in my backyard. The images are 9.5 x 16 and mounted on foam board. The bins are about 6-inches deep, so the prints are somewhat protected from weather...at least for a few years. I've always enjoyed spending time on our porch and watching the birds, flowers and other wildlife. With the collage guests can enjoy our outdoors...both inside and out!

The birds are (top row from left) male Cardinal, female Ruby-Throated Hummingbird,
male Blue Jay, male Rose-Breasted Grosbeak, female Carolina Wren, and male
Eastern Bluebird.
