For Comment - Mostly Verticals

This odd little shot got more comments than usual on IG and FB. Perhaps it struck a chord.  Here's what I said:

I was taking this shot to play with all of the verticals including two steeples, along with the wires and all the stuff we kind of don’t “see”. This can help us make it through the day of course, not seeing, but even though in my mind the steeple is saying “there’s another way, seek and you will find” - the juxtaposition of the steeples with the grind of daily life suggests that we won’t hear this call.

Along these same lines (at least in my mind) are some other recent shots

For Comment - Color down the road

There has been a lot of good color this year on county line road.  Too bad it doesn't last.

For Comment...

October and November mean Fall, which means vibrant colors, falling leaves, and a special feeling in the air. I enjoy coming upon "found" photo opportunities in nature.

Crepe myrtle leaves fall around the base of the tree.

Oak leaves land on a car during a rain shower.

Leaves within leaves.

Here's a triptych from The Blue Hour Collaborative you've heard me talk about (https://www.thebluehourphotocollaborative.com/), that we feel is "finished and ready" but we cannot quite name.  See what, if anything, about this triptych strikes you.

I'd also be curious about which of these you like.  They could fit into the Perspective Assignment, but I wanted to hear more about your response to these - example, could this be a diptych? If just choosing one to submit for JCC, which?  etc.

For Comment #2

These are a pictures I took of the Naples pier on prior visits to see my brother in Naples.  The pier is now closed and local officials are saying it could take a couple of years to repair damage caused by Ian.
