The Flame Lily (Gloriosa superba) is Zimbabwe’s national flower. When you visit Zimbabwe just before the rains you will have a hard time locating this wildflower. The national emblem is a perennial flower which means it comes back every year. It seemingly dies while it continues to live on.

                              Not only is there a bumper crop this year, but the colors are amazing.  Guess Zimbabwe's national flower likes the heat.

 I went Sunday afternoon at a time when the Ballet Folklorico was supposed to be there. Not sure why, but they never showed up. I just didn't find anything that particularly inspired me. I had planned to try and do some ICM with the dancers, so here's the empty stage.

Proof that I thought about the assignment during my trip to Provence!  This is along the street in Cassis. I was looking for  Very tiny walking access, simplistic figure, alignment with my husbands actions, strong contrast, parallel lines.
