Despite the massive crowds, attending the Dickens of a Christmas in downtown Franklin is a sure way to get the Christmas spirit. You usually see some of the same "characters" year after year. For me it's an opportunity to shoot a lot of candid portraits.

These are nice. I have always photographed the characters, especially ones with glasses, but I was not draw to any this year for some reason. But it looks like I turned down a good opportunity based on your images. Same for the visitors only a few inspired me to photograph them.
