I am thinking of entering this image in a "call for entry' so I have sought others' input on improving it. I took out the garbage can in the middle using my limited skills, which was one of the recommendation and I made a few other minor changes. I would post the new version here if that were possible.
Agree, great work! I'm guessing the last one is the jailer's house, I can tell a lot of work went into it and it's beautiful. However, it starts stretching the boundaries of how light the house would be with that kind of sky. I'm wondering what a little less light on the house would do to get that low light, intimate atmosphere and help us focus on the glow of that one lit window? Just my 2 cents.
It more than started stretching the boundaries of low light but that's too long a story to discuss here. I did look at different levels of brightness and the ones that placed more emphasis on the second story window would have been good alternatives but there was something bazaar looking, so to speak, about this version that I liked. It actually got an award at the show I submitted it to? :)

DeleteThanks. All three took a lot of time and work to get to something I could live with? The Jailer's House, though, was particularly difficult!
