Post Processing...

I'm sure among the six of us Foto Friends, I know much less about using Photoshop than any of the rest of you--way less! I've always mostly used Lightroom, as far back as the second version of it. And even then I never learned how to use it "properly". Rather than learn from the manual, I played with it, experimented, and by trial and error I figured out how to process my images. I still do that today, and that is why I shudder at the very thought of trying to replicate a project or a Photoshop "assignment" born out of one of our meetings.

I tend to know when I take a picture what I'd like to get as the end result. A lot of the time it works and I can achieve that, but again sometimes it doesn't. As you all know, I really enjoy shooting candid black and white portraits. So, here are a few that by manipulating the Lightroom sliders, dodging and burning a bit, and a few other simple things, they worked out pretty well. All of you probably have seen some, or all, of these "processed" images, but I'm sure none have seen the images "out of the camera".
