I prefer the color version. I convert many of my color images to B&W to see how they compare. In fact, I alternate B&W with color images every 2 days on Instagram. In general, I like color for images with a lot busy content and B&W when the color is distracting. Many times switching to B&W can make a surprising improvement in the visual effectiveness of an image to my eye?
