For Comment...

A few potpourri images from recent outings with my camera.

It's amazing to me that so many late model, expensive automobiles wind up crushed like a pancake and destined to for metal to be recycled.

Bins of veggies at a farmers market are always great photo subjects.

Raindrops on a highly polished surface create some interesting abstract pattersn.

A dead leaf falls during a shower and is plastered onto a large limestone boulder. But how did the dark background patch occur?

A rainy night in Tennessee transforms lights, reflections and raindrops into abstract patterns.

It's not the photo, it's the story!  My youngest grandson, 5-year-old AJ likes to "collect" anything he finds outdoors. It's been seashells at the beach, unusual rocks while hiking, hickory nuts, fossils, bird feathers, etc. The last week or so it's been red buckeyes. This prized tree, somewhat rare. is about 10 years old and this year is the first time it has produced very many buckeyes. So, every morning before pre-school and every afternoon after school AJ has been searching for red buckeyes that have fallen since he last looked. First, he found 18-20 and took them to school to share with his classmates and teachers. Then he kept collecting them and now has about 70 more. Anyone want a buckeye? They are supposed to bring good luck if you carry one in your pocket.
